Gotcha Day

Okay, so we are very tired and the baby isn't thrilled with us and I can't get the pictures to come up and the new hotel is charging us for each minute. I just got her to sleep and I am in the boys room doing the typing. Sorry that I will have to post pictures in the morning when I can figure it all out and have the energy.

She is very long legged and skinny. She smiles fairly easily, but has a bad cold right now with a lot of chest congestion. I immediately started her on the Zithromax that Dr. H sent and am thankful for it. I have also given her Tylenol and Motrin as she has a fever. She is very flexible. Her hair is short and looks like it was recently cut.

I am sorry not to have a picture and more to say, but we are exhausted and I am going to sleep while she does. I promise to do better in the morning.

Please, please pray for us. She is not feeling well and we still have a lot of time here to finish things up. She also has the classic orphanage problems, self soothing. It's very sad to think about.

I love you all.

Will keep praying for all the AWAA families in China, and especially the children. Hang in there, you will get Pizza Hut soon.... it is really yummy!!! (I missed the diet coke too!)

Glad she is in your arms at last. Just remember that a big change almost always happens on day 3. I told my self that over and over and the night of day 3 something in her changed. We will be praying for her health and for restful sleep for everyone.

In Him,

Poor poor baby. I woke up at 2:45 and checked the blog for an update. As soon as I woke up I came here to check again. I'm so glad you have her and can begin to take good care of her. You are just what she needs right now. Hopefully after rest, everyone will feel a bit better.

Congratulations! We just got our daughter on July 7. Our daughter did all the same stuff your daughter is doing. It is heart breaking. We also had to start Hannah on antibodtics as soon as we got her. She came with a really bad cold also. I will be praying for you guys. God is good. China is an awesome place!

My name is Wesley Brown and i would like to show you my personal experience with Zithromax.

I am 45 years old. Have been on Zithromax for 2 days now. I took this drug (generic azithro 500 mg bid) to get rid of an 2+ week old sinus infection that did not clear with decongestants and antihistamines. The drug made a substantial difference within 2 days. I'm a physician and needed to return to work, and the tiredness was just excessive, so I stopped the drug after 48-72 hours. The infection did not return. I would take this drug again if I needed to kill off an infection. I don't expect to feel good all the time. If a drug is making me healthy in a particular way, it's up to me to weigh that benefit against the cost of side effects.

I have experienced some of these side effects -
Fatigue. I just didn't want to move or get out of bed while on the drug; it was a bit hard to figure out that this was an effect of the medication rather than the sinusitis. Otherwise I was fine.

I hope this information will be useful to others,
Wesley Brown
