A Weekend Wrap Up

Too much of a good thing will get you everytime!

Momma and Emma riding the Carousel at Nissan Family Day. Emma loved it. She went strong all day.

For Momma's birthday Emma ate an entire jar of food for Daddy. She has not eaten any since. Happy Birthday to me.

Daddy thinks he is all that since she ate for him. I hate it when he gets the upper hand:)

Our handsome oldest son marching in the homecoming parade. He was too cute!

Hi Bo and Mayme!
I just had my own "McGowan Moment" and caught up on your post-China life. What a thrill to see little Emma in your home. She is radiant! I have missed you all. You just can't walk the Great Wall of China and then watch one another give birth (Oh, the labor pains!) without feeling bonded for life! Praise God that Emma is doing so well (I will pray for eating!) and that you all have taken her so fully into your hearts. Ivy is a little giggly dream and is doing so well (except she doesn't sleep-ugh). It's all such a miracle, isn't it? I saw the adoption phrase "born in my heart" for so long but now I REALLY, REALLY GET IT!
Take good care, McGowans.
With love from,
Julie for all the Landinos

Hi Mayme,

It's Deanna Campbell. My husband and I met your sweet family at the Nissan Family Day last weekend. Just wanted to let you know we found your blog. The pictures and stories are so sweet. Thanks for telling us about it. Happy belated birthday! I pray Emma's appetite greatly increases. Have a blessed weekend.

We kept looking for your family at Nissan Family Day but never saw you. I couldn't wait to meet you and see Ms. Emma! Thank you for sharing the DVD with us. I was having a really hard day with the adoption and I needed to be reminded that in the end, all that matters is the beautiful child that God brings into our family. Your family is an inspiration to so many - including us!
