Happy Father's Day

Yes, we do have 3 kids. But as a parent of teenagers, let me tell you it's hard to get everyone together for any sort of pictures and Emma NEVER wants to cooperate!

Happy Belated Father's Day to my sweet husband.

My Little Groucho

Yesterday amid a clean and purge session in Ashton's room, Emma became the proud owner of some new glasses. She has literally worn them ever since.

3 Years Ago.....

I am a day late with this, but yesterday marked 3 years since we got "the call" about Emma. I remember it so vividly. It was one of those really crazy days and it fell on a Friday so that made it a really crazy weekend.

3 years later, our girl has come so far and so have we. Our lives have been forever changed for the better. God knew she was our girl.

Emma loves aprons. She wears them all the time. She has one on as I type this post. Giggee found her the cutest apron and hat while she was recently out of town. Of course Emma doesn't like to cooperate when I am attempting to take her picture so this is the best I could get. The apron says "Princess of the Kitchen". It should say "Princess of EVERYTHING".

The poor child and her mother spent Friday and yesterday at basketball tournaments. We lucked out today and another mother was able to be the designated driver. Of course, today will be the day that Ashton scores a gazillion points and makes history and I will have to hear all about it later:)

Should I Stay or Should I Go

Emma had a very busy morning playing with Rory. They "swam", caught a wayward butterfly, and played with Play-Doh. Oh to be 4 again.....All I have heard for the last few days is "Rorrrry play, Rorrrry play"

After Melissa picked Rory up and Emma ate lunch, it was nap time. Mom's favorite time of the day:) I had already been up to the room once to check on her and she was playing with her toys that she had politely decided to move to her bed. The next time I went up this is how I found her. Sound asleep and snoring. Suffice it to say she had a busy morning.

The last week was busy with ball camps and church camp, although I had to pick Brady up early because he wasn't feeling well. Emma also had a 3 hour speech evaluation. It was a beneficial visit I think and I am anxious to hear back from them. I think we are going to make a change over the summer and start our speech therapy somewhere else.

The hearing aids are going well. She isn't too fond of me inserting them but she has gone and gotten them out of the container herself and wants her "beep beeps" in. She is beginning to copy a lot more of what we say. I'm not so sure that is a good thing.

Emma has been so busy the last few days. It must be Christmas in June because she has decided that her new favorite thing to do is wear her Christmas stocking hat and apron and watch "The Polar Express" while saying "Ho Ho Ho, Merry Christmas". She is also very fond of riding in her baby doll stroller right now. She insists on strapping herself in and then when she can't undo the strap she just stands up and walks with the stroller attached to her backside. She has also become a huge fan of horses and rides her rocking horse all over the house an inch at a time.
